  1. Genggam ikan manyung pakai tangan kiri, tangan kanan memutar kayunya 1-2x, baru tarik kayu, jgn langsung tarik kayu spy daging ikan panggang tdk rusak/hancur dagingnya, cuci pelan aja krn lembek, Goreng hingga kecoklatan, tahu tempe aku kukus dulu terutama tahu, baru dimasak (kalo tdk dikukus dulu rasanya beda/kurang enak), tahu kukus tdk mudah hancur/padet, kalo mau goreng juga gakpapa, cuma khasnya masakan ini tahunya warna putih
  2. Tumis semua bumbu, hingga harum/layu, biasakan utk selalu menumis bawang putih diawal jika sdh agak coklat dikit baru masuk/tumis bahan yg lainnya, kalo diiris ya, kalo diuleg/blender yo bareng, tambah air 500 ml masukkan santan bubuk, tahu, tempe, rebus hampir mendidih, baru masukkan ikan manyung panggang, jika sdh mendidih masukkan potongan daun bawang merah/brambang, koreksi rasa ya, rebus bentar angkat sajikan (santan jangan sampai pecah ya aduk bag.atas jgn sampai rusak bentuk ikannya)
  3. Sajikan dengan nasi hangat…nyaman..

Noted ; menurut chef yongki gunawan berdasarkan pengalaman memasak beliau, kalo menumis setelah minyak goreng masuk beri sejumput garam aduk sampai larut pakai sutil baru masuk/tumis bumbu, kata beliau selain lebih sedap masakan/tumisan tdk cepat basi. Kalo bawang putih ditumis duluan dari chef Rudi yg sering tampil di TV, nampak sepele sih, tapi mungkin itu rahasia masaknya para chef senior…tdk ada salahnya diikuti spy masakan kita lebih sedap.
